My last post of my 9th grade year...
I am happy that I finsh 9th grade. My year was great i meet many new people I lear new thigs. I love the enviroment my school has. My teacher were the best I ever had. I think that if I would have gone to my home school everything would of been so different. I would of never met the two most awesome teachers ever ( Mr.Hsu ans Ms.BLanco) THEY ROCK!!!!!!!!!!
I learn allot of thigs this year, but one really helpful one is that school is important and that i really want to go to college.
P.S. Thank you Mr.hsu for being an awesome teacher.

It was fun and interesting to work on the project. I got to show some of the new things i learn this year.

Yes, we did finish the project because we had team work.

the advice i would give to the students next year is to work hard and don't leave everything to the end.

It was fun working with my team members. I think that the secreat to working together is team work.

1.What qualities do you think a leader should have? WEll in my opinion the most important qualities should have is respect for other and honesty.

2. Do you considered your self a leader? From my point of view I don't considered my self a leader leader there is people that think that i am a leader , but i don't.

3.How do you prepared other to become a leader? Well I think that leaders are not prepared they are leaders from deep inside them.

4.Do you think being a leader is a big challeng? Yes, I think being a leader is a huge chanlenge not only do u direct people, but you hve to be able to listen and reach their demands.

5.What is you motivation in life? My motivation in life is my family.

6.How do You get passed to difficult times? Well most of the time when i have difficult time i try to solve it step by step. I know that no matter what my family is going to be there for me so that makes me feel better.

7.What are some characteristics you like about yourself? I think the charactistics i lke about my self is that i am confident with my self and I am and honest person.

8.What are some of your goal in life? My goals in life are to help my family when ever they need me also to be a roll model for my dauther.

a. Who in your life would you consider a leader? Why do you consider that person a leader?
Well in my life i waould considered my dad a leader.I considered my dad a leader because he has teached me how to be a leader.

b. What strengths does your leader have? How has that person demonstrated those strengths?
My dad has the strength to show people what is right and wrong. My dad demostrates this by letting me make my mistakes and then making me see what i did wrong.

c. What weakness does your leader have? How did that person overcome that weakness?
Well i think a weakess my leader has is that sometimes he can not control his temper. Well many times he overcomes this by taking his time to take actions.
d. What have you learned about leadership from this person? How has this person influenced you? I think that I have learned allot from my dad something really important would be that he really could see when he makes a mistake and then he fix it. My dad has influence me allot in different ways.

1. Why are people protesting and demonstrating around the country? What issues about immigration are being debated? People were protesting around the contry to say NO to HR4437. The issues that are being debated are the right of immigrants they are debated for immigrants not to be call criminals, also so that is you help an immigrant not to be a crime and at last so that they wont built the a wall in the border.

2. What do you think the students who walked out were trying to achieve on Monday? What do you think was their point of walking out? Students were trying to send a message with the walk out they were trying to tell evryone that prop HR4437 is a bill that should not be pass. Their point was of walking out was to tell evryone that the they are against HR4437.

3. Do you think the walkout was effective? Why or why not? I so think that some students did get their point through but other students did not know the reason for their actions. Allot of students share their point of view i think that was great because the achieve something.

4. What were some of the consequences of walking out? Well some of the consequences for students walking out was that they look wrong and some of the students got saturday detention.

5. How was the protest in the radio story different from the protest on Monday? I think that the protest on the radio story was different from the protest on monday for many reasons for example the some students were not organise. Some of the students that walk out were peaceful about but it other were taking the walk out as a joke or something that was gonna get them out of class.

6. What could have been done differently to protest the proposed law on immigration?
I think that what could of been differently to protest was organize it and come together to get the message accros.

1.What do you think about the article? I think that this article is really interesting all the things that it talks about are things that happen every day.

Things that people have done and are doing to put there self in danger is put their adress, phone number ect.

3.If you use a blog or myspace, what can you do to protect yourself? I think what people should do to protect their self if they have a blog or myspace is to not put any personal info or just not talk to people that u do not know.

4.What do you think about Greendot’s efforts to block sites such as myspace? I think that it is a good effort during school,but there is really not much that they could do because students have computer at home and still get on this sites.

I have learned allot about this class i have learned about drugs and differnt ways to not get pregnant.

Well so far the information that has been useful is how drugs are harmful. I was talking to one of my friends that does drugs I told them some of the effect of drugs.

I think that we should have more time so like that every one could ask every thing they need to ask.

I think after reading the article students drop out of the school school because they feel that there is to much pressure on there life.

The student i find the most interesting is David I think that I find him interesting because he really lets every one see his point of view about dropout and other things.

There is allot of differences at Animo Venice ans Birmingham first of all teacher and student are differnt at Animo Venice us students have better realation ships with teacher.Teachers at Animo Venice help us more with are problems.

As and Outsider my high school experience was great. I had my rought times and easy times. Having my friends there trough the way really help me. I think that not having all of my friend there mayde it a little harder.High school years were the best.I just want to have fun with my friends till the day of graduation.

The first thing that i found interesting was when a kid dropout after getting 3 or 4 tickets in hs junior year.
The second thing will be when they explain the percentage of students that drop out every year.
The last thing will be when teacher exprece there self about how they feel about dropouts.

2.Why is dropping out of high school such a bug deal?What does the article say?What page do you find this information?

Dropping out of high school is such a big deal because every year millions of students dropout of school and finish working in bad places.The article says that to many students drop out every year.PG1

Yes, i do know of some high school dropouts.The reasons this person had for dropping out werre not good at all.this person said that he did not want to be in school no more that he like life in the streets with his friends.

For me there is no reason to dropout the only real reason for me to dropout would be getting real ill that i can't do anything.

WELL I THINK THAT MY FIRST SEMESTER AT ANIMO WAS A REALLY GOOD SEMESTER.I DID REALLY GOOD ON MY GRADES.

Well last week Animo Venice went on a retreat. We did all kind of things some of them were boring and some were fun. I think the retreat was worth it bcause i had fun maybe not all the time but some of the time i did. When going to the retreat I expect it to be boring ,but when being there it was not boring as I expected. The best part of the trip was the dance.I think most of the people enjoy the dance the best.The thing I did not enjoy was the bugs and smell that was there .I know that from the retreat i will take with me many memories.So at the end the retreat was all worth it.

Well in my activity i had to imagine that an Afirican American police officer chases and shoots a middle clase white family.Would it make it to the news and will the officer get punished.

I think the police officer will get punished and it will make the news because it's an African American police officer.I think if it will be a white police officer probably nothing would of happen and let him go.

The point of the activity was to show how many people think that some of the thing a African American will do are bad but if a white person did it was not wrong , and that there is still races thing going on.
